My home-scale baking project, ie bakes, is participating in a nationwide event called Bakers Against Racism. I joined bakers all over the country to hold bake sales that help promote, educate, and raise funds for BIPOC organizations.
The money generated from my sale will be donated to an amazing organization in Minneapolis called Green Garden Bakery. This bakery is run by teens who not only bake the goods, but they run the show -- building business, leadership, and social skills on top of their gardening and baking talents. And all of their products feature vegetables! As an avid veggie and cookie lover, I really connected with this organization.
